Analyze and propose a possible design solution to make shopping at grocery stores less stressful during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Overview
During 2020 the world was challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting the way businesses operated. I found grocery shopping during the pandemic to be stressful and wanted to identify possible improvements to the shopping experience.
Process
Brainstorming, ideation, mindmapping, journey diagrams and persona's helped me get an understanding of possible pain points of the grocery shopping experience and develop possible solutions for them.
Public engagement polls and interviews helped me gather insights in to what other customers were finding most painful. Using cooperative design ensures that the right pain points are being targeted, so that the solution will have the most impact.
Outcomes
Using the design process I was able to develop a concept and prototype for an app that allows users to search local grocers for the items they need and order them for a contactless delivery.
